Our Story

Providence School of Tifton was founded by four families with a strong conviction that Tifton was in need of a quality Christian school. At its core, our vision was for a school that was academically rigorous, mission-minded, accessible, and unapologetically Christian. After much prayer and research, we fell upon classical Christian education. Due to classical Christian education (CCE) training students how to think in addition to what to think, we knew that this type of education would powerfully prepare our students for a life lived for the glory to God alone.

On August 7, 2020, we opened our doors to 35 students, 22 families, and 4 faculty members. In five years we have grown to 77 students, 48 families, and 13 faculty members. The families in our school community represent more than fifteen local churches and six ethnicities. Additionally, we are one of only three accredited classical Christian schools in the South-central Georgia region.

Our curriculum is planned with the end in mind, focusing on planting, nourishing, and cultivating the souls of our students to watch them bear fruit as forty-, fifty-, and sixty-year-old men and women of God.

We administered our first standardized test in 2023, which showed our students averaged up to four grades higher than the national average for public and private schools.

Over the past six years, we have served hundreds of people in the Tifton community, including family members, students, and staff. Now, in the heart of downtown, we are moving toward sustainability and reliability as we are in the process of purchasing and renovating our historic building. With grateful hearts, we eagerly await all that the Lord has in store in the days ahead.
